If I ask Annie anything she'll just get all smug. She'll get that "I told you so" look and then refuse to help me anyway. She likes Reiz. If she knew he and I were ... rough, right now, she'd just laugh and say I deserved it, or something. It's not like she's been really pleasant this entire time, herself.
But Lenore is right ...
Reiz is probably still talking to Annie, at least. I haven't seen him since we talked, but I bet he might have ... filtered to her. Maybe. Even if it was just to complain about me ...
It's still better than nothing, and it's still better than an "I told you so." And it's ... it's not like Annie will ever know that I looked. It's for a good reason ...
